Gary L. Schwartz, 71, Marion, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Heartland of Marion. He was born on July 9, 1938 to the late John and Clara (Felton) Schwartz in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Gary was employed at Whirlpool for 39 years and 2 months in which 20 of those years he was a supervisor. He belonged to the Marion Elks and VFW 7201.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Eshman) Schwartz, sons, Michael (Tracy) Schwartz of Waldo and Mark (Lisa) Schwartz of Akron; brothers, Larry (Barb) Schwartz of Marion and Lynn (Pat) Schwartz of Agosta; and 5 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are engouraged to the American Cancer Society or to a local Hospice Care Group.
Family will receive friends at a memorial gathering that will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 3-6 p.m.
