Sam J. Nicolosi Sr age 76 of Marion passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Marion Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his family. Born July 18, 1933 in Marion to the late Ralph T. and Neysa (Shortino) Nicolosi.
Sam retired from Quaker Oats in the maintenance department. He was a member of St Mary Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #671. Surviving are his wife Janice L. (Young) Nicolosi, two sons Sam J. (Mindy) Nicolosi Jr of Marion, Mike (Amber) Nicolosi of Marion, one daughter Tina (Scot) Holliday of Marion two step sons Jeffrey Patterson of Marion, Jay Patterson of Columbus, one brother Ralph (Jan) Nicolosi of Upper Arlington, three sisters Mary (Bob) Boltz, Nina (Ron) Williams, Roseanne (Dave) Fenstermaker, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Preceding Sam in death is his first wife Grace J. (Jevas) Nicolosi who passed away October 27, 1986.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2010 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with parish prayers at 4:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St Mary Church with Father Michael Nimocks officiating. Burial will follow in St Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion General or the Alzheimers Association
