H. Eugene "Gene" Miller, 81, Marion passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Marion General Hospital. He was born on May 3, 1928 to the late Harry A. and Florence (Boger) Miller in Marion.
Gene served in the Navy during WWII and later worked for his brother, Pete Miller. He was a member of the Marion County United Veterans Council, Past Governor of the Moose Lodge, Past Exulted Ruler of the Elks, Past Post Commander of VFW 7201, Past Post Commander of the American Legion Post 584 and a member of the 40/8.
Gene is survived by children, Tom (Sharon) Bortsheller of Marion, Cheryl Casperson, Randy Miller and Jimmy (Cathy) Miller all of Meadville, Pa. and 6 grandchildren; a brother, David K. Miller of Marion; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Miller of Marion. He was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Miller.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk. A veterans service will be on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 1:30 in Marion Cemetery with the Marion County United Veterans Council providing the Military services. Memorial contributions can be made to the Marion County United Veterans Council.
