Beulah J. "Boots" Kraner, 80, life long resident of Marion, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on October 18, 1929 to the late Freeman Leroy and Iva Bernice Smith. Beulah married Ralph C. Kraner in 1948 who preceded her in death.
Beulah was a graduate of Marion Harding High School class of 1947 and retired from L-K Restaurants and Motels as Executive Secretary. She was involved in the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 0329, Harding High School Class of 1947 Committee Secretary, Penn-Ohio Mode A Ford Club Flying Quail Chapter, Marion Senior Center and the American Legion Post 162 Auxiliary.
Beulah enjoyed traveling with her old cars, a 1929 Model A, and a 1964 Mustang convertible. She loved dancing with her friends, participating in community activities, and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Donn C. Kraner and Mark (Connie) Kraner; daughters, Toni Polcyn; and Barbara (Steven) Johnston; grand children, Wendy (Dale) Vansickle, Joan Hoffman, Jamie Polcyn and Sadie Scott; great grandchildren, Clayton, Olivia and Addison Vansickle, Leslie, Lauren, and Colton Hoffman, Chelsea, Amber and Holly Polcyn, Andrew and Matthew Scott.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Wolf Creek Cemetery, SR 31 north of Township Road 265 near Kenton, Ohio.
